No solo es excelente para tocar realmente r\u00e1pido, sino que, a diferencia de muchos guitarristas r\u00e1pidos, tambi\u00e9n puede tocar lentamente y con mucha melod\u00eda y sentimiento. Esta es una de las razones que me han llevado a volver a su m\u00fasica desde que era adolescente. Es definitivamente <a href=\"https:\/\/www.joe-rainey.com\/es\/maya-john-frusciante\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">uno de los grandes.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Primero que todo, lo m\u00e1s obvio y notable de su nuevo y segundo disco en solitario, Terminal Velocity, es la presencia del incomparable Mike Portnoy en la bater\u00eda. Como todo el mundo sabe, Portnoy fue el baterista original de la banda principal de John Petrucci, Dream Theater, y tambi\u00e9n de Liquid Tension Experiment, otro notable proyecto paralelo de ambos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Portnoy dej\u00f3 Dream Theater en 2010, y desde entonces, el d\u00fao no ha lanzado m\u00e1s m\u00fasica juntos. Finalmente, despu\u00e9s de 10 a\u00f1os, aqu\u00ed est\u00e1 su primera reuni\u00f3n oficial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La presencia de Portnoy trae mucha alegr\u00eda al disco, una alegr\u00eda que es evidente en la forma en que toca, y que impregna este disco de principio a fin. Creo que alegr\u00eda es una buena palabra para definir el sentimiento general del \u00e1lbum. Incluso hay una canci\u00f3n llamada Happy Song (Canci\u00f3n Feliz,) que es una de mis favoritas del disco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Portnoy siempre est\u00e1 empujando el beat, nunca tocando detr\u00e1s de \u00e9l. Es casi como si quisiera liderar la aventura musical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El hecho de que estos dos grandes m\u00fasicos hayan tocado juntos durante m\u00e1s de 20 a\u00f1os tambi\u00e9n le da un toque \u00fanico al disco. Definitivamente entienden c\u00f3mo encajar el uno con el otro a la perfecci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Es posible que al o\u00edrlo tengas la impresi\u00f3n de que, no obstante la importante reuni\u00f3n, Portnoy no recibe nunca el papel protag\u00f3nico. No est\u00e1 ah\u00ed para eclipsar a Petrucci. Es un poco una pena que no tenga evidentes grandes momentos, ya que Portnoy es conocido por sus incre\u00edbles habilidades en la bater\u00eda, pero entiendo que ese no es el objetivo de este disco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pero al escuchar m\u00e1s de cerca, Portnoy est\u00e1 haciendo algo igual de genial, solo que de una manera diferente. Presta mucha atenci\u00f3n y escucha c\u00f3mo Portnoy complementa a la perfecci\u00f3n a John. Definitivamente no est\u00e1 solamente manteniendo el ritmo sin pensar y dejando que John haga lo suyo, sino que est\u00e1 con \u00e9l en cada paso del camino, casi formando un tel\u00f3n de fondo perfecto para cada cent\u00edmetro de cada canci\u00f3n. Se adapta y cambia. Su forma de tocar tiene muchas capas y texturas diferentes. Realmente sabe lo que est\u00e1 haciendo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Entonces, \u00bfqu\u00e9 hay sobre Petrucci? Bueno, es exactamente lo que puedes esperar de \u00e9l. Est\u00e1 su sonido de guitarra familiar, con su sabor a Mesa\/Boogie. Luego tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1, por supuesto, mucha pirotecnia de guitarra loca por todas partes. Las canciones est\u00e1n cargadas con bonitas melod\u00edas aqu\u00ed y all\u00e1. Todo esto est\u00e1 envuelto en el mismo tipo de metal progresivo que Petrucci ha estado tocando durante toda su carrera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nos lanza algunas bolas curvas cortas de vez en cuando, como una parte flamenco repentina, un riff al estilo de Van Halen al principio de Snake in my Boot, y lo m\u00e1s destacado, un n\u00famero de blues, el acertadamente titulado Out of the Blue .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Creo que es un disco muy agradable.
